The Therapy Room of the Future

Mynd Immersive provides therapeutic interventions that improve clinical and health outcomes for our aging population.

The Current Health Crisis

Every 3 seconds,

1 person in the world is diagnosed with dementia.

10,000 people

turn 65 years old every day in the U.S.

By the year 2034

adults 65+ will outnumber children under 18.

With America's life expectancy increasing and the 65-and-over population projected to nearly double over the next three decades, the growth of age-related diseases, such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and other related dementias is staggering and straining family and healthcare resources.

Prescription medications and other treatment options that are commonly used to help reduce symptoms of age-related diseases, have associated risks and may be inconvenient to patients while offering suboptimal efficacy and potential for abuse.

If we are to live longer, happier lives, we need new and innovative therapies to prevent, treat, and manage these conditions.

Our Solution:

A New Genre of Digital Health and Wellness Using VR

We deliver immersive content to improve outcomes and reduce pharmacological dependencies, all while making therapy fun, engaging, and affordable.

What are Digital Therapeutics?

Digital therapeutics are changing the healthcare delivery system with evidence-based technologies (screen devices + software algorithms) that improve patient outcomes by preventing, managing, or treating mental or physical conditions.

Digital therapeutics are used independently or in concert with medications, devices, or other therapies to optimize patient care and health outcomes.

Why Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that recreates an environment through a combination of advanced software, hardware, and design. Because of the interactivity and sensory-rich environment, people who use VR feel as if they truly are in a different place, world, and even reality.

Over 30 years of research show that this immersive technology can be effectively utilized as a component of protocolized treatments for older adults, providing a vast array of health and wellness benefits:

  • Induces and maintains positive emotional states

  • Reduces the perception of pain as a distraction technique

  • Reduces feelings of isolation and loneliness

  • Counteracts negative emotional states and so much more

"In a 360-degree, virtual reality setting, the distraction is so great that depression, anxiety, and fear is suppressed or eliminated for that period of time in the VR experience."
